GoreTex and other outdoor gear has changed a lot since you and Izaak Walton went fishing together.

Personally, I’m far more comfortable standing nuts-deep in a river or the Sound in February than I am on the deck of a skiff on a 100 degree day with the sun melting my brains out my ears and threatening me with spontaneous combustion. Don’t get me wrong, I happily do both each year, but I can always throw on another layer. I can’t, however, take off more clothes once I’m down to my trunks and tshirt.

YMMV, though, as not everyone is a giant Scandiwhovian that sunburns on a cloudy day in December.

I'll have you know that it snowed twice yesterday. Woke up to snow and then in the Afternoon it started in again. I think I already told you all that we go through 9 months of winter and 4 months of late spring. I used to say summer, but the growing season here in Butte really sucks.(n)(n)
