Looking to try one of these again and hoping for a better experience this time.
Lightly used is fine. Ping me if you have one you'd like to sell.
Thanks

Yeah, my Sonar lines had something on them when brand new, that kept the s3 and Int sections from sinking. It went away permanently with either fishing or soaking for an hour, and now they're my favorite lines for lake stuff.

Good to know.
I was going to wipe it down with fine steel wool to cut any gloss or surface static.
That is based on a recommendation I received from Steve Godshall on a different line that I couldn't get to sink.

I thought my first one was a mislabeled floater.... ;)

Not to hijack but I had never heard of this issue, good to know! I have the 8wt int and love it. Good luck with your search

I have it in a 7wt for windy weather and potential salmon. Haven’t fished it much but it sure seems heavy. That rod isn’t uber stiff though, why I like it. I am used to shooting heads but this one seems heavier than normal.

Bump

It took awhile, but mine is sinking great after the LONG break in period. I've been using it on a few lakes now and doing the count down at known depth and it seems even a bit faster than 1.25 IPS.

That seems to be the case with that line. It sinks better the more you use it. I likely didn’t give it enough to time but it seems odd it wouldn’t sink well right out of the box.
