Sigh, here we go again. Just a quick PSA to let the good folks here know that VS has taken over yet another FF forum, this time the UK one.

Members were informed after the fact, without any advanced warning, hence removing the ability to remove private data before the invasion. Sounds familiar?

Bring 'em on over here, would love to hear some UK fishing stories/info, especially from Ireland, the Scottish highlands, and Wales (England... Meh, OK, maybe Yorkshire)!!

cheers

"Tea and Carp" subforum?

I'm signing up right now... If we can get Davy McPhail on the whats in your vice thread that would be awsome. You think they will like the Screenname 'PaulRevere'?

That conversation is going in a much more civil way over there so far. I've been on the UK forum (2 versions of me) for 15+ years, plus lived and fished over there, and it's a vastly different culture on that site. Not exactly a fit with this one to say the very least. I'm one of the very few who use their real name if fhat says anything.

Wonders if VS is going to change the underlying software like they are on a site not to be named...

They do it to all of them. I went through it on ifish. It was not a popular change at all. A lot of people left when they took over, and others left after the software change. I was ALMOST motivated enough to build a new place and try and make that move happen there... But lacked the motivation I had when it later happened to WFF.

I tried to logon to (the other site) a few times yesterday and got an error message that the site was down for maintenance. This morning I was able to logon to their newly formatted site. Thread drift: I see that Chris Scoones is still a site administrator over there but hasn't been seen since February of last year.

I wonder where he is.

He is Travers

How so? (Sorry, Kenneth, for the thread drift.)
Not for certain, but that's been one of the rumors floating around. Alter ego/joke account. Would explain how he could check in.
