There are times I wish I would have had a great camera with a great zoom. this trip was one of those times.
birds of prey spotted:
Northern Harrier (all over the place, on the way home, I saw one hunting and get a rodent of some sorts)
Great Horned Owl
Turkey Vulture
Merlin (decided to bust up a tree full of songbirds....don't think he got one)
Coopers Hawk (flew right by us in the river canopy, landed about 20' away and just sat there for what seemed like at least 15 seconds)
Red-Tail Hawk
something larger that neither of us could identify, possibly a juvenile Golden Eagle...most likely, but not verified.
mammals sighted:
Pronghorn herd
Coyote
American Badger
Deer (they're everywhere)
massive Mink hunting in one of the holes we were fishing....hint: we didn't catch anything out of that spot.
Raccoon trying to find a weak spot in our night time setup...
creatures heard, that weren't seen:
Multiple Great Horned Owls
Barn Owls
several Coyote clans (or whatever one would call various groups)
Other birds sighted:
countless....highlight there was probably a Downy Woodpecker that visited out camp tree & one of our camp attempted robbers, good ole Magpie (I'll add video once available....)
It was really cool to listen to 3 coveys of quail 'talk' to each other then converge, then separate....so cool...
So many great sightings!

Next time plan it when I don't have to drive 13hrs in 1.5 days
