Yup. We're up to our eyeballs in nuthatches so that gibberish is going almost constant around here. I mostly find it humorous and entertaining ... mostly.

This is the first year we've fed hummingbirds; what were we thinking all those years for not doing this very entertaining little "hobby"? Sometimes one of the birds will hover in the middle of this dining room window and "look at us" (or so we think). Then there's the guy who sits on the fiberoptic cable and runs off any other bird that tries to drink from HIS feeder. Better than Prime, no commercials.
Thanks Pat. It's been a long haul to get here, and still a lot of work to do. But yeah, I feel damn lucky.
The GH is actually the 2nd owl this morning. Earlier the Stellars were making a racket like a predator alarm, but well off the ground. I had Merlin going and it showed a Pygmy Owl ID around the same time. Really want to see one of those.
I've definitely had a hummingbird come up to the big window while I was watching it and check me out, first straight on and then zipping to the right and left while looking at me.
