Planned this trip in February. Rented a nice house in Caldera Springs Oregon for five days. Family vacation, but two days dedicated to fly fishing. 
. Yeah right… weather… 
The week before it was 70 plus degrees and no snow on ground.
This was our backyard view next day and every day after it was worse.
Wind chill, 25 degree weather with wind chill.
Planned a good trip. Visited local fly fishing shop. Got some flies from an older and well established gentlemen who knew the waters and even offered stripping techniques with each fly he recommended (he also advised me not to do Fall River solo in these weather conditions. (I followed his advice, I’m not young any more). I scouted though…
Not doing this …
I appreciate sun river fly shop…..he lent me advice on local waters, flies and techniques….
