OFFICIAL 2026 NFL SEASON DISCUSSION

My BIL claims one reason his property taxes in North Bend are so high ($15K) is paying for Seahawks and Mariners stadiums; nothing beats corporate welfare…..
Your BIL is wrong...

Major King County sports stadiums (like Lumen Field and T-Mobile Park) are not paid for by general property taxes on residents. Instead, public funding relies on targeted user and tourism fees: hotel/motel lodging taxes, car rental taxes, state lottery funds, local sales tax credits, and venue admission and parking taxes.

The reason his taxes are so high is that King county gets less than 60 cents back for every dollar they send to Olympia.

Kyle might clear the concussion protocol by the season opener.

Anyone watching Quarterback on Netflix? It's pretty good. 2025 they followed Baker Mayfield, Cam Ward, Jayden Daniels and Joe Flacco. The Flacco season was crazy with the trades. I've watched 6 episodes so have 2 left.

It's interesting having watched it and then now seeing the drama with the Bucs.
