FS Granger 9660 Fly Rod $275.

Granger Victory 9660 9’6” 3 piece, 2 tips. 6.2 oz. Prob 1935 granger. Has short coke bottle reel seat. Dates to 1935-1938because of the short 5& 3/4" coke bottle reel seat. Post 1938 grangers used a 7 inch reversed half wells grip. Amber colored ammoniated cane with varnish finish. In 2021 rodmaker Mark Frey revarnished, rewrapped guides and added new old stock reel seat (see attached work order). One tip original, the other tip has been scarfed by Jack Holdridge. Comes with custom made non-orginal rod sleeve and 41" aluminum tube. A great bull trout rod or bass rod or carp rod or summer steelhead rod. I like best with 7 weight floating lines and 6 weight sink tips. $275 plus shipping. Happy to meet you in Western Washington if you wish to inspect and cast the rod.

Dave, I'm working on trying to justify it. It really sounds like a 7wt. How do you feel about that scarf? Do you feel it is solid and will last as long as the rod?

I feel good about the scarf. Here's how it came about. When I bought tne rod one of the rod tips had a repair wrap. When Mark Frey refinished the rod (and he did a good job) he removed the repair wrap and didn't replace it. When I was fishing the rod on the Cowlitz it broke at the tip where Mark had removed the repair wrap. Mark Frey was in poor health by then so I had Jack Holdridge scarf the tip.

Happy to meet you to let you examine and cast the rod with different lines if you are interested. I think it's a 7 weight but like it as well with a sink tip 6 weight. I like the rod but don't fish it enough now that I have my Sharpes 10' spliced two handed rod.
