OFFICIAL 2026 NFL SEASON DISCUSSION

@SurfnFish , I remember the beach closure in the news and the ongoing legal battles. Did not link it to Khosla. Thank you for that info as well as the additional background.

Seahawks luck just changed, having been purchased by a total dirtbag.

Some close friends lived at Martins Beach, which the public has access to since the early 1900's, second generation residents who owned the homes on leased land they had a written agreement to purchase should the owners ever sell, and a guarantee to continue their land leases.
Khosla acquired the property, however, in a non-disclosed purchase from the heirs after the original owners passed, closed off public access, and then notified homeowners there would be no lease extensions which expired in 2021. Since then the homeowners and public have been in prolonged court battles with Khosla, the public having won an access ruling from the US Supreme Court that public access must be granted, which Khosla continues to violate by keeping the access road gate locked and guarded, and the homeowners remain locked into ongoing eviction proceedings.

When I worked in Silicon Valley Khosla was known as a ruthless employer and had countless lawsuits for how he treated employees, and he sued the Silicon Valley Times after an an expose they published on those lawsuits.

AI and Jobs?
"Khosla has been one of the most prominent Silicon Valley figures advocating for artificial intelligence and robotics to replace the vast majority of human medical professionals."

Good luck Seahawk fans, you're gonna need it.

Maybe the Niners curse will follow him north. Are there any substations near the Hawks practice field?

When the lease expiration of what is an aging and comparably small stadium approaches, Khosla will undoubtedly demonstrate why he is considered one of the most ruthless tech lords in Silicon Valley.
Few things test a community like the battle over new stadiums, pitting the community tax payers against billionaire owners demanding tax incentives, public money, development rights, prime properties, etc.
Which is why the Raiders, Rams, Chargers, Titans, Ravens all moved cities with the Bears now about to do the same.

What is the connection between the Raiders, Rams, Chargers, Titans and Ravens? I was hoping Chris Pratt, since he is a big Seahawks fan, would buy them. I know what it is like to work in a hostile environment, reason why I retired. Was talking to an attorney, but she got herself fired.

What is the connection between the Raiders, Rams, Chargers, Titans and Ravens?
All moved from their original cities when the team owners could not secure a new stadium deal that met their financial demands, going to cities that offered them better deals.

The Raiders moved from Oakland to LA to Oakland to Las Vegas.
The Rams from Cleveland to LA to St. Louis to LA
The Chargers from LA to San Diego
The Titans from Houston to Nashville
The Ravens from Cleveland to Baltimore
The Bears are finalizing a deal to move from Chicago to Hammond, Indiana

Doesn't the NFL commission and other owners give final approval?

... but they won't vote against one of their own ...
