Apple tree leaves, yummy:
I have two apple trees, both fenced by "exclosures" to protect them from the marauding deer in my neighborhood. I planted a dogwood tree about three years ago in the front yard and promptly put up a fence around it. As the tree had grown and branches touch the fence, which is made of poultry netting, those damn dancing deer stand on their hind legs and lean against the fence to get at some of the dogwood leaves. They have torn a couple small branches off the tree with their antics. Blacktail deer are not easily discouraged when it comes to their favored forage.

far side of the lake mid morning today, some nice action on beetles, see a small rental tinner with dad and kids aboard drifting in the wind toward me, Dad pulling on the starter rope to no avail. Keep an eye on them, reel up and fetch them just before the wind blows them ashore, tow them a slow coupla miles back to the lodge. By the time I got them safely docked the wind had picked up so called it a day.

Good man!

First Pic my new Samsung galaxy s26 ultra. Shot on 5x auto. I'm excited to play with it. Has better specs than my old s22 which was burning 35% battery every hour and running hot.
