Shota’s Pheasant Tail Emerger (variation)

A few minor changes to the very cool original. Tied here as an attractor; next time, on a hook this size, I’ll make the front more of a tapered lip for a skater style.

butt - Orvis saltwater thread fluoro orange/resin
rib - same as butt (without resin)
abdomen - pheasant tail
post/head - 2mm foam cream
hackle - barred ginger
thorax - Ice Dub pheasant tail

The doubled foam head should keep it on top. No more tying the hackle on the needle and transferring; from now I’ll tie the post on the hook and use the gallows.
