There's A piece in NYT today about best dad movies for Father's Day, it's A fun idea- what's your top five?
I guess you could cut it as movies about dads doing dad things, or better yet movies that make you value family regardless of being a dad, or just dudes doing cool things that make a dad wish he could take a stab at them, or just movies that are so familiar that everyone in the family knows most of the lines
For various reasons, my 5
1- The Fugitive......
2- A River Runs Through It
3- Gallipoli
4- Castaway
5- Blues Brothers
Almost made the cut- Master and Commander Far Side of the World, Step Brothers, Superbad, Pulp Fiction, The Road, Das Boot, The English Patient, Raiders of Lost Arc, Gravity, Speed, Lonesome Dove, Mad Max (undubbed version)
