I way have helped unloading Chuck's house and property. I had things he put in his will for me. So after I was done with family, I simply loaded my truck for of truck a couple loads.
I finally sat down and grabbed box by box to go through. I still need to go through all the rods and figure out how I'm giving to people. BUT grabbing his kit bags made me smile and realized why we're so good close friends.
There were things I even talked about what I planned to build up to just grab quick. Different fishing ones, a survive/fast eat/camp work on bag, etc. All things I would use. Then his fly tying stuff. Just made me smile. Nice seeing my use of things working on him. Then found his fly vise. We had spoke about this vise, I talked how I was wanting to try tying them again. Especially when they fixed their initial style. But he went all out buying them everything. I'm the same type of guy.

All the jaws they made at the time (bought when Nor was alive and showing at shows), 40+ spools, etc. Now I'll have to play with it now.
I'm curious what I'll find in next box.
I'm really missing him. Wish I could talk to him again.
