Trolling Motor for Drifter

I have a 14 ft drift boat and need to replace my old minn kota endura. What are we recommending for a basic electric trolling motor these days? I'm looking at the MK Endura Max 45 lb, and really like the on-board PWM to maximize battery life. I'm fine with a basic, hand steering motor and don't need spot lock. Any other suggestions?

What did you end up getting? I’m looking also. Pretty new to having a drift boat. I have a 13ft was wondering what size shaft, thrust and battery size? Want to use it on lakes this spring with my daughter.

Haven’t yet but I’m still looking at the endura max with a 100 mah weize battery. I should probably just go ahead and pull the trigger

holy cow that’s an $800 battery. A bit more than the $280 for the 100 aH weize. Which may not matter because they are out of stock.
Thats what I say , I am sure that $800 battery is great ,but I could buy nearly four of those Weize for that money . Another very popular boat lithium battery is the LiTime brand , although a bit more money . The performance I get out of running my two Weize for my 24 volt MinnKota Terrova I see no need for anything else . Time will tell .

I have the 50# Max, pushes my skiff just fine. Until recently replaced with a Weize, I used two Mighty Max AGM wheelchair batteries which gave me about 4 hours of run time before reaching about 50% reserve, which was plenty since I don't troll. Make sure to get the longest shaft, not only to reach prop depth also better for standing with hand on the tiller.

They are extremely expensive but amazing run times at half the weight.

And after pulling my head out of my anus, I realized that the one I have is the 100 amp hour.
Runs my 55 lb Minnkota all day bass fishing and rarely gets below 50%.
Still expensive but cheaper.

I ordered the Weize 100aH for $200, and am going to get the long shaft endura max. Yeehah!

Thanks for the suggestions everyone

A couple of weeks later and one trip with the new setup. I’m pretty happy with the motor, plenty of thrust and no battery drain. I have a slight beef with weize though. They didn’t include the little plastic terminal covers in the package as promised. When I reached out they said they don’t have any to send and I should try to find them locally. If I was selling 2-300 dollar batteries I’d have a bin of parts to help with service recovery.

Must of missed out on the terminal covers , or they may have come with it ,and I discarded them . It seems most batteries come with the covers for shipping or whatever .
