Been working on compiling resources to help new anglers both find us here, and get a primer in their figuring out what fly fishing in Washington is all about.

Noticed a number of newer forum members in the last few months that were looking for help - I know there's many more who have never asked. So hopefully this can become another resource for them... and maybe, if all goes well, they start joining us here to talk about their adventures.

I understand this is just a giant AI compiled summary. But can we at least proof read it.

actually most of it was my doing. I had resident coho and blackmouth both in there, proofread it, made some cuts, and didn't proofread again. I cut out chinook/backmouth as they weren't often targeted on the fly but forgot to delete the whole thing.

Apologies if it came off harsh. I'm spending every work day being absolutely spammed with copy/paste unvetted AI output and it's nauseating. It read like AI output to me off the bat.

Hopefully it helps some folks out on the right track.

I used AI for the scaffolding/layout, but the content is mine. Had some help with the overall formatting/layout to make quicker work to hard-code the page and that's about it. Most of the crap I'm still proofreading is because I made so many revisions. But there's a lot of actual human hours spent on that page.

oh... I also didn't write much of the bottom section (licensing and such). I had that generated and put there just to hope it helps with the googles.

btw - if anyone comes across any more threads that may be good adds to this, let me know. It was way, way tougher to come up with good threads to add than I anticipated. Was going for a variety just to give a complete "overall experience" picture for someone just trying to first navigate Washington specifically. Given that I don't live in WA (anymore), I may no longer be the most qualified for that 😆

Just a continuation of me trying to add more things to help us get discovered and bring in new members. I noticed how hard we are to just accidentally stumble upon here, while an older, previously active but now dead forum is still top ranked in all searches. Need to get that fixed.

I like that idea! looks great from my non-proofreading end....

That looks great Evan. I'm not even close to being a newbie anymore, but I think I'll find this resource helpful. thanks, andy
