Mola Mola are weird, but also interesting.

Was on Nick’s boat for tuna once, and there were a bunch of small Mola hanging around the boat looking up at us. Seemed like something from a Miyazaki film.

Seems like the smallish ones (roughly large pizza to car tire diameter) tend to be the most curious. A few times there have been literal rafts of dinner plate sized congregating in the hundreds. Until you get close, all you see is a forest of little "sticks" (fins) waving around. These little guys are also very shiny and like to jump. Perfect for fooling anyone scanning the horizon for jumper tuna.
