2026 Swap & Shop Official Thread

Do what you need to do. We'll sure miss you and will raise a roast to you, hopefully with you on Saturday! Gonna miss that biscuits and gravy!

It looks like we need to cover Saturday and Sunday breakfasts. I'd be happy to do one or both, but I am a late riser and don't want folks to go hungry while I'm sleeping in. I can bring a camp chef two burner with either a griddle or big pans. And pancake mix with various toppings. And/or steel cut oatmeal. And coffee. But if I cook breakfast, it will be ready around 10am. So more of a brunch than breakfast.
Why I wanted to give some time to figure food out. Even me showing up Saturday may only be a fast show up, at best.

I can help with cooking, just don't have the equipment to cook for a big group, but i get up early.. if i even go to sleep.. 😄

@flybill I could show you where my pancake mix is and let you run my Camp Chef griddle/pans for pancakes either Saturday or Sunday morning. Or both.

I'm out of town this weekend for a race 🏃🏽 I plan to start getting some plans more officially dialed in here soon.

Pancakes are just an idea. I like bacon and eggs and tortillas, too. I'm going to buy a griddle that covers the two burners on my Camp Chef stove and I'm eager to try it out.

Show me where they're at and I can handle it!

So now I'm thinking of a griddle that covers only one of the two burners, so I can have a pot of water or coffee pot on the other burner. This link has the 1-burner and 2-burner griddles plus a reversible griddle that I am not considering:

It would also be lighter and easier to store than the 2-burner griddle. Thoughts and advice welcome!

What I'm definitely bringing: small grill, 2 burner camp stove. I do have a 22" Blackstone griddle that I may have room for but really don't wanna bring unless we need it. I also only have one small 5lb propane tank, so that's limiting. Haven't gotten to food yet outside of wings and probably some crosscut short ribs. Typically though, I do bacon/eggs/hash browns for breakfast, but tbd there.

Not much food will fit on that single. Heat water for coffee first, then commence to cooking. Coffee always comes first.

I have a double burner deal and flat griddle and I know how to cook breakfast. I’m a dad after all. Oh and I suck at sleeping in no matter how hard I try or need to. I imagine I can help cook.

Get the 2 burner griddle IMHO. Do the coffee as suggested below first and then move on to breakfast!

I'll bring awesome coffee but only have stuff for one person cooking or cooking over a campfire. I am happy to do pancakes or eggs, hash browns and SOS (sausage and gravy) i don't mind cooking both days. We could grill steaks for dinner or do pizzas since Evan is bringing dough. I'm always up early so coffee will be ready for the early birds like me!! Cheers! I'll bring my Dutch oven for dessert one or both nights!!

I think we'll be able to fend off starvation for a few days.
Don't forget to bring some swapping and shopping stuff!
Fo sho!

I've got several glassy rods plus a pile of faux musky flies

@Zak , I think I have a griddle that fits over a 2 burner camp stove if you want it.

I'll pull it out once I get home from catching a handful of caprs

I'm sure I'll have a pile of stuff. A few fly rods/spey rods/lines, probably some gear fishing stuffs, boat accessories, etc

I have a single burner Iwatani stove, and I also have a pancake griddle that covers two burners.

Updated the page 1 food plan - will continue to update as we get committed to ideas

Edit: nevermind. I'm going to get the Camp Chef 2-burner griddle.

I'll also bring bacon, shredded potatoes, shredded cheese, flour tortillas, 2 dozen eggs, and Pace picante sauce. I expect there will be some artisanal hot sauces around!

If anyone has access to local farm eggs, let me know and we can use those instead.

That should cover Saturday breakfast. Sunday breakfast can be a fried hash of leftovers, or pancakes with maple syrup and whipped cream.

Is it sized for the Camp Chef Explorer 2-burner?
Probably.....?

It seems pretty standard. I can get measurements if you like.

Friday evening - I'm going to do some coho fillets on the charcoal grill to accompany the wings. I can figure out a side, too.
