I'm down here for the next two weeks working.
Anything good around the airport?
I am staying in battleground.
Thanks.

Yes!

Of course it depends on what you want to eat and how far counts as 'around the airport.' Alberta St. isn't that far away, I'd say:
Pizza: Ranch is good on Dekum St
Sushi: Bamboo on Alberta, also Zilla but $$$.
Wings: Fire on the Mountain on Freemont
Burgers: Theres a million bars with good burgers, I was partial to the one at Tough Luck because it was a 10 minute walk from my old house.
BBQ: Podnah's on Killingsworth
Beer: Breakside on Dekum, also looks like they got a new menu that looks really good.

If you're staying in Battle Ground, I highly recommend Barrel Mountain Brewing. Exceptional beer and great food. They offer burgers, sandwiches, salads, wings, a few larger plate entrees and a variety of appetizers.

If you like sushi, Sushi Ninja in East Vancouver does it right and has great happy hour specials.

I was just in pdx over the weekend. I ate at the Niños Birreria taco truck twice (birria quesa taco three-pack) and gal and I are still eating Bake Shop (on Sandy) pastries. The Pain au Chocolat and the cinnamon puff thing were our favorites.

Food trucks! Wherever you can find them. I'm only familiar with the ones out in Beaverton these days, so you'd need to do some additional research.

I sure miss living a block from Breakside on Dekum!

If the Firehouse Restaurant is still right there next to Breakside, it's outstanding.

There is an entire city block, or more, of food trucks in downtown PDX.

Airport area isn't super great, but there's a few great Pho spots. Grindz with Tryz is probably the best Hawaiian place I've been to as well. Long ways from Battle Ground though.

Only place I know of near the airport is the blue and yellow spot with the swedish meatballs

for a nice pdx spot, there is the kennedy school mcmenamins in NE pdx - not far from airport. food is ok - but the place is great to walk thru, and beer is ok.
i like Wonderly up on NE fremont. its a small bar, with limited but good menu/food.

You could also just park on Mississippi and walk down the street. TONS of great spots to eat there.

There's a steakhouse with friendly servers and live shows on McLoughlin. Got a Greek name but the foods American steakhouse.
It also tends to close down every couple months and re-open with new ownership... But I think the building is getting demolished now. Shame.

The Acropolis was an odd experience during my youth :ROFLMAO:. Better food options in PDX these days I imagine.
