According to reports, he entered before the stories broke, so apparently not a result of the stories themselves, which if true, would suggest he may truly be committed to getting sober. Wish him well.

He will start, at least for the start of the season, whether he is capable of being a mentor to not is another question.

This is Cousins' 11th straight year with a fully guaranteed contract... Mendoza can learn a lot from him.
 
Cousins has earned more money from his NFL contracts than Tom Brady.
 
... And not to say anything about the haircut ...


Two ways to look at this, if he is the ultimate "hands off" guy, then it's not his fault - fault the GM and Director of Player Personnel, not the other hand, it is his fault because he should fire these guys and get new ones, which he did just over a year ago (GM anyway).

Can think of a handful of GM's and coaches who would give blood to have a non-interfering owner of their team.
