New Sage fly rods

I have but sadly just learned that trick late last summer. I’ll probably do that for coho this year.

I was eying those this weekend. I might pull the trigger. It’s hard to find a bad thing written about them.

If you find yourself out my way you're welcome to borrow one and take it for a spin.

Don't underestimate premium cork; it's good stuff and lasts. (Many premium priced rods unfortunately use lower grade cork and lots of filler, which eventually falls out, leaving a grip that looks like crap, sometimes feels pretty bad too. Perfection hard chrome guides are plenty good and cost about half what the high end snob appeal guides run.

Nah, I’m thinking stainless steel and a roll of hockey stick tape!

I may take you up on that. I’ll be extra careful, we’ll, because it’s me :).

Any time. My six weights won't be getting much use till the fall. If you get a wild hare to try one, just hit me up. I'm back and forth from Westport a lot right now but can easily have my son stash one somewhere outside for you to swing by and grab if Im not around. I live about five minutes down the road from....you know, that one coho beach ;)

And I'm definitely not worried about something happening. If they can survive me, they're pretty tough.
