Bout time for the Mariner doomsayers to check in. And we need some more " it ain't like it was in the 50s" talk.

Can we watch the '95 highlight reel again ?

Considering I don't follow baseball much, and not at all until September, I will unfortunately be unable to participate in the onslaught.
Hopefully they'll do well, and win the World Series.
:)

Welcome to the Bigs young Mr. Witt, the #1 MLB prospect "He can do for the Royals what Patrick Mahomes has done for the Chiefs" (no pressure):

Cheers

MLB #1 prospect, Bobby Witt Jr, notches his first MLB hit (a double), first RBI (game winner), and first run scored. Also made a fine pick and throw at 3rd (he came up as a shortstop) to end an inning. ROY watch under way.

Royals lead AL central!!!! Magic number = 162!!!

Cheers

You forgot the standard "every announcer sucks so I have to turn the sound off" post.
That goes without saying. Yesterday was a prime example of how bad it can get with players on the field miked up chatting with the announcers while the game was in motion. The camera was on the guy's face during an entire inning instead of seeing the ball game. I am astounded at ESPN's or MLB Network's ability to continually cheapen and trivialize the game.

The model of 3 announcers in the booth trying to call the game at once is like the cacophony often heard at a cocktail party after a few drinks. And if 1 out of every 2 announcers is unbearable it is almost a certainty that 2 out of 3 will be unbearable also.

The attempt to glorify announcers and their ex-jock lackeys who regale us with tales of their own life experiences has not borne fruit. Let me rephrase that-it has borne fruit but not fresh fruit. My first real job in high school was working in the produce department of a super market. Every couple of days I culled out the bad stuff and a farmer came and took it to feed his pigs. The announcing of today is the pig food of an earlier era.

Com'on, think you're being a little harsh; watching Eduardo pick apart a $150 hamburger while Ravitch and Cone chirp in was a true Emmy-worthy bit of sports reportage.;)

cheers

And yet, Ive and Kerry keep tuning in. Not only to fucked up baseball, but to a fucked up thread about fucked up baseball.
At some point you have to start worrying about their sanity.

LOL! No assumptions made here. I think you are over throwing your curve ball. Perhaps you need to bring in your reliever.
