NW Fly Tyer and Fly fishing Expo Albany 2026

I won't be going this year. Between the drive and head I'm just not ready for it. A few asked to see me there, just won't be this year.
I just realized today that it's next weekend! Snuck up on me, I'm still planning on going but have some details to work out!

They'll be happy to take your cash when you first enter/pay your entry fee (FFI members are free). They do, I've been told, run out of banquet tickets for those arriving late Friday or Saturday.

I'll be there on Friday tying at table 27 for sessions 2 & 3. Will be tying the Dancing Deceiver and giving away sample for all who visit.

should we try to meet up? At Clarkman's table on Saturday, or maybe at lunch?

I thought it was a restaurant! Ooh! What's on the menu @clarkman ??
big articulated things...like these:

I'll probably do a number of singles as well since they're a little quicker and easier to give away...

Ya can’t miss him…he’s the guy with the herd of deer and flock of chickens… 😉

Ps: and flies the size of Mack trucks. 🤪😂
I have a few 8" flies.. one for the Queets!! I'll have to have @clarkman tie a Kenworth fly.. my buddy worked there for 50 years and retired a few years ago!! He's getting back into fly fishing!!

Won this boat (shown in rare pirate's regalia) in the big raffle at an early show. Had no way to pull it back to Klamath Falls. Dave Roberts (say hi to him from Tim Sullivan) towed it back to Shady Cove and dropped it into the Rogue before I ever got to sit in it.

Newb here , recently went to the fly show in Bellevue and heard about Albanys show. I have not ever attended and was wondering how weird it would be to bring my vice in my purse ? Wondering if allowed to tie while watching or is this strictly watching. I’m super new to tying and I have a blast learning. Plan on meeting again Mr Kuni as he told me about Albany's show just figured I’d ask. Thanks in advance .

Bring it! While I haven't gone before and am planning to, at least for Saturday, since I have an appointment I can't cancel on Friday morning, I am planning on tying on Saturday. Just have to decide what to bring with me. I plan on tying the Olive Willy and some steelhead patterns. Probably tubes and some articulated stuff!
