Well, what's everybody been up to now?...Now that football season's over and there's nothing left to watch....
I guess the olympics now and nascar...
 
I've been enjoying watching Olympic mixed doubles curling. It's been a while since I watched... when did they trade in the broom for that swiffer/rv-brush thing? Also, I never realized that anyone can jump out their and start scrubbing the ice, even the team that isn't throwing the rock. At one point I thought it was a janitor competition.
Seriously though, it is actually pretty interesting to watch; amazing how much precision they have and how much they can move the rock with that swifter thingy.

They went to the brush many years ago (decades?). Wish they would go back to the old corn brooms (Thwap, thwap, thwap...). The oppositions can start sweeping once a stone crosses the T-line (the horizontal line through the center of the rings) to try and get the stone to go completely through the rings.

Now, back to footsball, not that I care about the ultimate outcome, just hope for a good game.

As a newb I was using a brush in the '80's. My high school buddy and his two brothers were originally from Toronto, and they all used brooms.
 
Way Hah Woah! In terms of the discussion on the Big Italian Meals earlier in this thread, here's the deal.

When i go BIG ITALIAN I always go the BREAD to start and just say SKIP THE SALAD!!!!! Thats because I'm a Big Name in the scene and these guys need to know i'm still a major FORCE to be reckuned with in the SCENE!!!! I'm still Competing!!!!!!!!!

It's all about the timing.... of course, mostly caring less about the "I couldn't care less bowl" I wandered in from the shop just in time to turn it on the halftime show...
You could almost imagine my complete confusion as I was triple checking the tv guide to make sure I had it on the right channel....
QUESTION: Why was there a puerto rican south american celebration during the middle of the super bowl???...

What happened to something like Evel knievel jumping a tank of sharks for the halftime show with multiple military flyovers... i understand diversity is extremely American. But what's more American than an ill advised Jump over a tank of sharks on an ill advised style of motorcycle.!!!????...
