Used to be one of my favorite src flies in the fall.

Mayfly Muddler (variation)

Tied here a Green Drake (western U.S.). The dun deer hair turns a nice shade of olive when dyed.

body - hare’s ear dyed olive
hackle - olive
shoulder - chukar dyed chartreuse (1 Tbs Rit Neon Yellow/1 cup water)

Heres a quick sbs. Change the body up like you normally would ie thread, tinsel. Tint resin with ink from alcohol markers.

I tie way to many shrimp variants in winter but damn I love this style pattern for winter SRC and rezzie fishing.

Time to start thinking chum fry and springtime bass soon.
