I’m wanting to install a 4”or 7” seat pedestal in my pram this Winter to get me in a more comfortable position. I’m sure I’ll have to raise the oarlocks also to accommodate my higher sitting position. Is there any standard rule on doing this? Any ideas or observations would be greatly appreciated.

Most information says a minimum 8” above the seat, maximum 11.5”. Not just from this article but others including boat building forums.

If you are not in a hurry, I am working with a machine shop here in Port Townsend to build a set of risers that will range from 3-4 inches. I may take 3 months or so to get it all figured out.

Feel free to message me if you are in a rush and I can share some other options.

Thanks for the offer, but I’ve just finished installing some simple wooden extensions. My 7” seat pedestal is due in today. After I get it installed I’ll post some photos..thanks again for the offer..
