This...plus a stud guard & tackle for the o-line, another edge rusher to compliment Maxx and some help in the defensive backfield...
AND some good to great coaches!!!

Teams with long histories of losing seasons and coaching turnover have front office issues generally.
Having a stable, long term front office GM, Player Personnel staff etc. doesn't guarantee success, but the teams that do tend to have more success than those that don't.

Yes I think your running/passing qb or RPO QB maximum shelf life is 10 years. Now out of those ten years he’s gonna miss 2 seasons worth of games due to a variety of injuries from running the ball including concussions. Also you risk an early career ender type injury that prevents him from returning to his normal game. I’m thinking specifically of RG3 who was fabulous but never quite recovered from his ACL/leg injury and was not able to become a pocket passing QB. A good pocket passer will probably get you 12-15 years. But then you’ll have to surround him with more good pieces. There will be anomalies from time to time. A generous ‘Father Time’ and definetly some luck can help extend a career a few more years than average. At one time it was believed a QB of age 27-34 were his prime years. That has changed.

I guess in my duplicity of one message I erased
the other. I believe Chris Chandler , x uw qb and multi team player qb including falcons is or
Was married to to Brodie daughter ???

I'm anxious to see how Mahomes comes out after this ACL , see if he's the same , and moves like he did . It sure seems they got those ACL repairs down pretty good . Brady was a totally different QB , but it sure didn't seem to hamper him in the style of play he had . RG3 was just never the same .

I guess the streak of 17 plus years long tenured coaches is over in Pittsburgh

Stiddy/Lock SB

actually, a Mike-free coaching zone would be great for the SB
