The Positivity Thread

Wanted to run a half marathon before the year end and did it on Friday. Went a lot better than expected and I think I'm going to try to work in doing one a month during my running months (basically October to June). Felt good to know I can do that distance and could probably knock a lot off that time/pace if I wanted.

Former Seattle Seahawks Justin Britt even patted me on the back on Strava :ROFLMAO:

Brother I hope you realize thats a great time for a half, you didn't limp through it you crushed it. If you haven't already you should hit a marathon or a 50k! That time would qualify you for any of the ultras around me no question.

WA State has imposed a 95% excise tax on nicotine pouches and vape products. What this means is that where before, I would pay around $6 for a can of Zyn, now it's closer to $12 per can. Fuck it. I'm not paying that. I live just across the Columbia from Oregon, but that's still a hassle. I don't want to dick around with the I-5 bridge just to get a can of Zyns.

Looks like I'll be starting out 2026 nicotine free...aside from the occasional cigar. I guess that's fairly positive...at least, that's what I'm telling myself.

Don't have time to train for the longer ones. I've thought about having it as a goal but need to be realistic. I mostly stick to 10k races which is the sweet spot for me. I typically get those done around 40min

For being mid 40s and over 200lb (only 5'9") I'm happy with my paces.

I spent Christmas and New Years 88/89 in King County Detox. I'm positively extatic to be here. I try to always be positive. I didn't sober up to be miserable. Had that.
Got to spend the day skiing with the kids. Going to bed sober again tonight, and I'll wet a line tomorrow. Just don't have time for people that make with the negative waves. Life rocks.
May you all find peace and joy in the New Year!

Samesies. Definitely for the best, ultimately. I quit smoking many years ago and then tried wintergreen zyns on a whim two years ago, and got sucked in again. Even started going to specialty stores for the soggy high nicotine content ones. I'm sure I'll grab the odd can from time to time but I'm pretty sure it won't be a part of my daily routine going forward.

I heard about this yesterday from a friend. He thought it affected all nicotine products, which of course it doesn't.

Unfortunately I think this high cost will move people to cigarettes and 420 products.

I'm not judging, I do love my cigars! A few of the guys i was hanging out with do a lot of vaping and Zyn pouches. They can afford it or may go down to Oregon or get them in bulk when they travel...

I'm positive about the SmartCoin Pyramid, inc program. This is a network vertical where you GAIN off of the inevituble people below you in the vertical scope. I am invested HEAVILY into the SmartCoin Pyramid!!!

Hug your kids, your wife/husband/partner, your extended family, your friends, your neighbors, and others.

Much like a spark can start a forest fire, our hug can be the spark within ourselves or others, to start a positive movement towards a better place to live.
