Been sorting photos from moms place(passed awY last Thursday). So for 4 days of sorting and trying to identify them - 500-1000 images and array of formats . Dating from the early 1930’s to late 2000’s

the theory of losing a parent is a bit different than reality. u dont have to worry about hanging on to the memories - they will come out of the woodwork, so to speak.

Sweet. Have yet to see the "real thing". So far I've only seen diffuse, barely discernible glows to the eye. Wish I could see what my phone camera does. Took this shot about 8PM last night. Didnt notice the intense green being obscured by fir trees in the lower right until this morning. Had to be aurora since there's no artificial lights to speak of in that direction.

Rhode Island coast this afternoon. There was a whale off the point but couldn’t get a photo of it. It would be a great place to cast for stripers or bluefish off the rocks when they’re running.

There was only a dusting of snow 3 days ago on these mountains west of Las Vegas, but after two days of heavy rain (and snow at upper elevations) they appear quite white now
