^^^^ This!
And if there is any level of Service Connected disability and receiving benefits then that qualifies for the Access Pass

The Access Pass gets a 50% discount at National Parks US Forest Service and BLM campgrounds in addition to the entrance fee. Back in 2000 I showed my VA letter of Disability Benefits Eligibility at the Skykomish Ranger Station. Two years ago my wife showed her VA Health ID Card with the "Service Connected" designation label at the Ranger Station in Cle Elum. In both cases with a bit of explanation to the Rangers what the documentation they were being shown means the Access Pass were issued.

Last time at a permit center I had to Step In And Explain. I had to STEP IN and explain what they were paying!!! The rangers didn't know so I had to Step In And Explain.

Disabled veterans also qualify for passes in WA and OR. The disabled vet pass in WA takes the place of the discover pass and offers 50% off camping and boating fees at all the state parks. The OR pass offers free camping at any of the OR state parks, and you don't have to be an OR resident to get one.

WA Disabled Veteran Lifetime Pass is what I was referring to.

Not Oregon! If there was a fee (tax) to be had, the powerful in place will try to implement it. For example, ambulance charges, no insurance or Medicare will pay for the bill, strictly out of pocket. A ride to the hospital 4 miles away was $100 and change, It doubled this Spring. Grr!
I need to do an apology, was sounding like Jim Travers....

Noted, Thanks!
Washington state residents who are veterans with a 30% or greater combined service-connected disability can apply for this pass.
When visiting Washington state parks, you'll enjoy free day-use parking (no Discover Pass required), boat launch and trailer dump. As well as free camping or moorage.

It's difficult not to be a grumpy old man I have discovered....but I an endeavoring to to my best to not be one.

It is not hard to be positive and productive. Just takes a bit of practice and answering the question " will this post help others in a positive way?'... If not, do not post it...

I'll add some humor. Years ago I stopped in to a forest ranger station to get a permit to hike and camp in the "wilderness" of the Eastern Sierra. After filling out the paperwork the person behind the desk gave me a white 8x11 piece of paper for my permit..then informed me that it must be displayed at all times. There I was, hiking boots, mostly dressed in green camouflage.... and I asked "Are you telling me that I have to pin this piece of paper on my chest when I am out in the wilderness? Like a note from my Mommy!?" The guy simply said "Yes".
