I saw exactly one shooting star in the meteor "shower". We did find Comet Lemmon though.
I don't know what your local regs are about fishing post sunset, but the pic looks to me that it was ok to fish as the OP was clearly in civil twilight as opposed to astronomical twilight (aka night)
Civil twilight is the period of time for which the geometric center of the Sun is between the horizon and 6° below the horizon. Civil twilight is the period when enough natural light remains so that artificial light in towns and cities is not needed
During this time, there is enough natural light for most outdoor activities to continue without artificial lighting, and the horizon is clearly visible. Only the brightest stars are visible, and the sky has a residual glow from the sun's light.
