Does anyone have any feedback regarding these rods? I am looking at a 13' 7 weight and have heard from a couple of guides that they love them. What are your experiences?

I have the 12’-6” 345 CX that Steve Godshall who knows Meiser rods better than anyone except Bob paired with his own Ballistic Vector taper in 360 grains at 40’. I got the rod to use for large trout and Rogue/Klamath/Trinity river fall fish which typically are under 30”. Haven’t really used it as much as I’d like and it’s different than my 11’-7” 567 Highlander, feels like a more progressive flex, loading deeper into the butt. I am by no means an expert 2 hand caster so other opinions may be valuable. One would be hard pressed to beat Meiser customer service and Steve’s knowledge of line pairings. I believe Bob still has a loaner program where he’ll send you a rod to try, might consider it?

I would seriously consider the Bruce and Walker 13’ 6/7 Powerlite. I would rate it a solid 7 wt, fantastic rod for any season steelhead here in Oregon.
I slightly preferred the 4 piece to the 3, but it could have been the lines on each rod.

I have the 13 ft 6 weight Highlander CX and it’s a great rod. Very light in hand and responsive. I think they may be coming out with a new line of rods but the website is not updated.

Highlander cx rods are great! I feel like they flex like the old Sage Brownies. I’ve owned a few and still own the 4,5,6. I love this rod trout fishing with a Gaelforce ESSS.

I ran Echo rods for my first 10 years of spey fishing, reasoning that they could do the job just as well as the expensive rods. Over the last 10 years I've slowly replaced them with used Meisers and Burkheimers. While i still believe the Echos(or other similar brands) can cover the water just as well, the joy of casting the nicer rods with soul is more than worth the price difference. So glad I upgraded since we seem to spend 90% of our time casting anyway.

Only 90%? That would be a pretty hot day of fishing.
