Looking for a really nice floater for my 9' XP in 5 weight. Going to be doing the hippie stomper to bead head thing out of a drifter quite a bit during August -Sept. My old worn out floater is getting benched.

Looking at the SA smooth infinity, any other suggestions?

Not sure if they still have any left, but Sierra Trading had SA Mastery GPX floaters (in green color) for a long time. I grabbed several in 5 and 6 weights over the past year.

Edit - just checked, they still have them in 4, 5 and 6 weight. $35.

I went with this one.

SA Amplitude Smooth Infinity Fly Line Weight Forward Floating.

Ordered it online & got 10% off for subscribing to their newsletter and free shipping so I'm into it about $82 for the 5 weight version of this line

Plan on putting it on my older Bauer Rouge 3 then using the XP 590-4, should work well.

Bauer Rogue on a Sage XP - sweet set up!

That SA line is a perfect match to my XP 590. Was casting it all morning, it works very nice even with old worn out shoulder.

Fished my new SA Amplitude for two weeks in Montana. Great match for my Sage VXP 590 and Echo Trout X 590. The Trout X is a very nice rod. I also have a worn out shoulder that was giving me fits last winter, but yard work and holding my soon to be 3 year old granddaughter improved it.
