What you watching. πŸ˜†

For some reason, this caught my eye. And I can't dance at all.

I'm a sucker for musicals and dance. I have been fortunate to play guitars, tenor banjo, mandolin... in pit orchestras for a dozen local productions with a number of talented musicians to accompany some pretty good dancers. A dream come true.

With all due respect, IMHO the Zep overdub makes a mockery of the Astaire-Hayworth Swing - classical tap numbers that showcase their awesome precision by completely erasing their superb footwork. The "You'll Never Get Rich" rehearsal dance routine stands on its own with the original solo piano boogie number as a masterclass.

See what you would miss if this famous Nicholas Brothers "Jumpin Jive" number from the same era, filmed in just one take and unrehearsed (though there are editing cuts to accomodate multiple camera angles) had a rock & roll overdub?

Cops and Wops...
Old Untouchables reruns.
;)

I've just binge watched Narcos on Netflix...getting proficient at cursing in Spanish...
I can get stabbed in Latin American country, as while my Spanish vocabulary is large, it's also pretty much limited to street level insults, descriptions of your Mom, comments about your extended family, and where's the embassy type stuff.

I took 3 years of high school Spanish and only remembered two sentences…”donde esta el banyo” & β€œdos cervezas por favor’…pretty much was all I needed

I worked with many different folks from Latin America, and learned many different things...some of them useful.
For instance, how to choose the right burro at a sale may not be very useful here, but my enchilada sauce from scratch and my taco seasoning from scratch come in pretty handy...

Blindspot on Netflix. For those who like Cps n Robbers, international intrigue, damsels in distress, and tattoos, this might tickle your fancy.

Has anyone else seen the "Cunk on....." series? I swear that woman is as dense as a tire.
The last episode I caught was Cunk on Earth, I think... her interviews with British academia had the adults here rolling with laugher.

Waiting for all of the episodes of this seasons Landman to hit and then will order up Paramount, unwilling to put up with the drip drip of one episode a week. Billy Bob was born to play the role.
Been watching Hanna on Prime, thumbs up

If you like sci-fi books, check out the Richard K Morgan series that starts with Altered Carbon, hella good.
