Damn it. Just bought an 11. Niot sure why but I guess just in case I need it.Yes they are. 11 weight.

Months ago. Got the 7’s and 9. Maybe an 11 to add to quiver ?

Supposedly have some tropical type vacations coming up ??? We’ll see how the political climate carves out. Leaves me with two decent 7 weights a legit 9 weight and now a 11. Think I’m good for most things thrown my way.
Score! Just ordered my first 12wt. Just in case I ever get out after Tuna.
Why do I want another 12 weight? I have two and the backup one may not get used ever, or barely.
TFO has a great repair/replace program. That’s one reason.
I also already have two 6 weights and I want another one of those, too. I have a problem.
Note—phew! Went and looked and did not see a six weight on Sierra.

Whaaat??!! He was one of my earliest fishy idols. I couldn’t wake up on a school day to save my life but I’d be up at 6am on Saturday to watch the walker cay chronicles. Tight loops Flip. I’ll fish my TFO axiom II-X in your honor.
I hadn't heard of his passing, he's shared a lot of valuable information for the fly rodding community.

People need $1,200 fly rods and $130 fly lines. It’s completely out of control. We’ve been making graphite fishing rods now for, I don’t know, 50 years. Do you think that there’s a new taper out there that’s going to make you cast better? Do you think there’s better cork that somebody just stumbled on in Indonesia? No, it’s all marketing.
Walk into a fly shop up to the wall of fly lines, and there are bass tapers, bluegill tapers, carp tapers, sailfish tapers, wind tapers, distance tapers, etc. The whole thing has been marketed to death. If [hunting and fishing] returned to the basics, it could all be so much more enjoyable.
Speaking of old values, you hunt with a traditional bow. Why?

Received my 11 weight today. It’s a stiff f’ker. But kinda expected it. Overall the wraps and hardware are decent to very good. The reel seat is mortised and has a fitted cork hood but the lock nuts are open which I don’t care for but the mortise seats helps negate the reel grind/mark on the reels foot which happens with open hoods on both sides. The cork grip is a nice shape but yeah I’ll slap some cork preserver on it because filler will fall out quickly otherwise. I’ll only apply once and let it go after that. Alignment dots are dead on straight 
The fighting butt is nicely shaped. The color of the rod is whoa… blue rods are beautiful and seem saltwater’ish to me. The case and sleeve are more than adequate. Sleeve has a funky feel not to mention some odd chemical smell. Not a fan. Was thinking of sacking the rod sock under the kitchen garbage sack liner so it smells somewhat like my other socks. Weird feel to it too. Oh well. For 199 I will not complain.
