A bunch of near or above 100 day temps on the way. I hope my AC can moderate with the longer nights! One long-range Weather predictor says 70s/50s are coming. One can only pray. So far our immediate area has escaped Wildfires and for that we are blessed.

Sun shades and every other day watering the garden has kept it alive. The rest of the yard, "not so much" as only the house shaded side is truly green grass. Not the hottest summer but certainly one of the driest!

We can only hope. Our area is forecast 4-5 degrees lower than you, but it seems to have been continuous since June.

Where are you at? I'm in Spokane and our temperatures have been average or slightly below.
That said, we have been lacking on precipitation.

Death Valley?

We are at high 90s low 100s here in Hood River for the next week. I can handle the highs, but the over night lows creep into the upper 60s is what sucks... I can escape up the mountain or run the AC during the day but I need to open up at night.

as long as my bedroom has a/c I can handle anything else during the day.

You're seeing guys gripping the wheel GRIMICING teeth bared sweating big while driving down the pass. Staring straight into the sun, RED FACED AND TEETH BARED driving hard down the pass!! Temps raising true desert heat!!!

I just checked the 10 day forecast for Spokane and now see what this is about. It looks like we will have a 5 day stretch of high 90's and possibly 100 beginning Saturday.
That said, I lucked out because we get on a cruise ship to Alaska at noon today.:)

Have fun, Sailor!

I always thought people in the PNW enjoyed nice sunny weather over clouds, rain and overall gloom for nine months of the year. 😉

It is a chilly 46 here on the frozen tundra this morning but hell is on the way with near 100 temps for the next few days. Freestone and I had planned a week long trip to NW Montana starting Saturday but reason prevailed and we will do it next month instead. Up till now it has been a relatively mild summer with more than average rain but for the next few days I intend to cower inside and watch MLB on big screen TV and avoid the sun. Right now I am leaving on the 84 mile round trip to the supermarket to grocery-up until this hot spell burns itself out.

Canceled my trip to the Rogue Spey Clave, 100 forecast for Saturday, day of. Not going to drive 500 miles for that. Had planned on a couple days fishing afterwards with Travis B, fellow PNW member but those temps aren’t conducive to my skin cancer issues or the fishing. Maybe latter part of September.

This is why I leave the desert of southern Nevada for Lake Washington in the summer…basically three solid months of triple digit temps

It's been a great summer for tomatoes, air conditioning, and the electric utilities here in New England. Pretty much sucks for everything and everyone else.
