I did the lemon pledge clean (but you can do orange or plain too.) …. Yeah it sparkles up the rod a bit.

Good habit I think. I've wiped my bamboo rods with pledge for years. Graphite and glass get wiped with a microfiber cloth I used to finish polish the MG after every outing. Keeps 'em looking nice.

I use spray wax Pledge on my fly rods from time to time after giving them a thorough cleaning. They look nice.

I wiped my Steffen down with bonito scales....definitely gives a nice sparkly look.

Surprisingly difficult to actually remove too.

I'll try the pledge method....sounds great!
