What's Catching You Fish?

Water had come down some but was still high and a bit off color. Heavily weighted stonefly got plenty of interest but an orange bird of prey won the day. Some smolt and smaller fish but the majority were quality redsides with an inclination for aerobatics.

Caught another one but it didn’t fit in the net and flopped out before I could get the camera.

Hard to follow that one Billy.
Olive SimiLeech trailed by Black trailed by a willy. 6#, 5#, 4#, 4' apart on 6" droppers on a sink tip.

Started by losing the second fish of a double, and blew a half dozen other chances also. Technique is a bit rusty.

Glorious Morning.

After taking care of mom all day and to a couple appointments I got out for a couple more hours in the evening. I know, just stupid stockers, but gotta stick close to home. Still loads of fun. Clipped the whole leader at the ring and put it on an S6. Got a couple doubles, and two triples where I lost one of them at the net each time.

Fished a bit more traditional Invicta up top, Bibio in the middle and a Muddled and Buggered in Olive on point with a Cortland Camo Intermediate. Super setup.

Strong work! This was at Mayfield right? Flexing before the 17th?
No, I was at another M lake....just knocking some rust off!

ok, maybe a subtle flex....

Randy,
Great job! How many times have you gotten three tigers in a day?
SF
I can count on one hand....There was a day several years ago where I got more....and bigger, but it's not something one should ever get used to with these dumb fish. lol

Forgot my new ties on the bench. Tried two set of flies of stuff in the box that looks OK but doesn't get picked, meh. Tied on the confidence flies.

A lot of this after that.
