SFR Major Rant STOP IT! It stops NOW!

Sorta fishing-related
Wish I still had mine.

I learned to drive on my dad's '68 Bronco...three speed column shift...It's why I have a '68 Bronco now...but no snorkel or any dirt ever for this pavement queen...
Speaking of learning to drive a stick shift . I learned on my dad's old 52 chevy .It had a three speed manual on the column , and to make it even more fun the shifter was on the left side of the steering wheel ,for whatever reason . It shifted just the opposite , if I remember right . It was that way when my dad bought it in the early 60's for a work car . That was when I was getting my drivers license , that would have been 1962 . You could get your drivers license in Montana when you were 15 . Not sure if you can get one at that age anymore in Montana ?

Learn something new every day...
I Reckon so. I've had 2 little Jeeps, the current one for 24 years and have done the Jeep wave but had no clue about ducks.

Actually snorkels are common on combat vehicles in the desert…it reduces the particulate matter reaching the air filter…you will see quite a few on off road vehicles in Africa and Australia…and while I have forded small rivers up to my headlights, the main reason I had one on my Jeep truck was for desert driving; if you’re not the lead vehicle going through Death Valley, you are in a dust storm for the entire trip…and definitely not a pavement princess...View attachment 152257View attachment 152259
Reduces particulate matter? The dude that told you that is extremely full of poopies. It does nothing. If you want to increase better "particulate matter" collection then get a higher quality filter like a reusable k&n air filter.

Apparently you’re an idiot…US military had them on all their hummvee’s in Iraq…guess they just want them to look pretty…I know of a foreman on a mining site that used them on their fleet , vastly reduced maintenance time n cleaning air filters and cleaning out throttle bodies…and comparing my air filter with my traveling buddies during desert bombing runs while cleaning them in the field was first hand experience…

And nothing is more ghey than a Ford Taurus…

Maybe an Escort....possibly a candidate.

But yeah...that dude is an idiot, no argument there.

Or maybe a Corvair or a Vega?
