First high lake trip of the year.

My friend asked earlier in the week if I wanted to hike into Lake X. I told him I’ve fished it for 30 years and there’s very little chance of getting in there until June.
He went and scouted out access anyway, and I was wrong. Seems early, but obviously what do I know.
With road access to the trailhead confirmed we made an afternoon run up to the lake.
Fortunately, the drive this trip to the lake faired better than my last attempted trip to another lake (broken trailer hub)-

This trip required no boat (or broken boat trailer), just float tubes-

The scenery was better than the fishing-

We did catch a few fish-

It was a fun trip and it didn’t involve a tow truck! And it still seems early for access…
