Alright I'm gonna pop some smoke and take the heat off Rob...
This is all the media's next big wet dream. The next edition of the narative. Its all for show. This guy from england bought a ticket and walked right into Ukraine and documented what he saw. There may be fighting in certain areas and regions but not as extreme as they are making out. Why have we gone from 100% covid covid covid for 2 years to 100% Ukraine practically overnight.

Please excuse my bias but the second I read what seemed to be a boastful statement of being unvaccinated the remainder of the article somehow lost its credibility. Maybe this guy had health or Religious issues that warranted his choice to remain unvaccinated. If that is the case, I apologize for losing my objectivity. Remaining vigilant when it comes to the media is noteworthy. However, public vigilance should never approach autocratic demonization of sound journalism.

Weird how some people are willing to believe that events they did not personally experience are staged. Covid, Sandy Hook school shooting, moon landings, evolution, the earth being round, the list goes on.

Weird how on one hand the governments of the world could get together and stage a massive conspiracy with not a single leak, and on the other hand these global conspiracies can be easily revealed by some doofus with a cell phone camera just looking around.

Also, I bet "LezLuther" went on and on around the campfire about the "33" on Rolling Rock bottles.

Kyiv has taken some hits (rockets/etc), however it's not yet under "siege", with the huge concern that it could/will be. Is that controversial? Why does he (lezluther) think that's controversial when it matches reporting? What reporting does he consume which he thinks he is repudiating? I'm confused.

I appreciate that he travelled to Kyiv, that is more than most would do. But it's a big country, I think he should buy a bus ticket to Mariupol if he wants to make such broad conclusions.

Whatever. I'm not going to waste time arguing with someone who thinks the war in Ukraine is a stage set and not really happening.

Edit: saw your edit after I posted this. I'm glad you recognize that people are dying and it is horrible. I disagree that the war is being overhyped by the media, but reasonable people could disagree about that.

Those 3 or so companies that control all major media, that we are supposed to blindly believe despite that being corporations they need your constantly to make money and follow the 24 hour news cycle. I have more trust in the guy with the phone documenting stuff himself then the BBC. That being said I dont trust guy with a phone 100% either. I'm just trying to point out all might not be what it seems. Yet still I am attacked just for raising the question. I would call that a win for (them) (they) are getting exactly what they want.

I do an event every year that raises thousands for Ukraine charities. Horror has been a part of life there for a long time.

Not attacking you, just questioning your ability to use reason and critical thinking.

So credible reporters who put their names and faces and put their professional reputations on the line are not to be trusted? But some anonymous figure who doesn't use his real name, will not risk his reputation and livelihood by using his real name has uncovered the truth? It's all a media hoax? The President of Ukraine is in on this media conspiracy; the President of the United States and his entire administration and all of Nato have been duped by the media (or are they just in on it, cuz , well, ya know). Even Putin admits to the invasion, the use of conscripts and foreign fighters, so he is in on it too? This is what you believe? All that rubble, which has been confirmed with geolocation, is made up (much easier to use stock footage of intact buildings than to fake rubble).

I also find this somewhat offensive, as I have relatives in Ukraine not far from Odessa that we have not been able to contact in over a week.
