I’ve carried a Benchmade mini Osborne for years. Their customer service is outstanding, especially if you’re close enough to go to their factory store in person.

The thing to consider between knife makers is deciding which lock mechanism you find comfortable. At a certain price point (like a bench made) you can assume the edge will be comparable between makers and the quality of machining and tolerances will be similar. What makes them different when handled and used is how they open and close and how they lock. That’s totally personal preference. For example, I find bench made to be really easy and slick one handed and I fumble with a spyder co. Yet many others will disagree. Handle some knives in person and just play around with them and see what feels right.

that's one of the reasons Civivi are such a price point bargain, as almost all of their flippers use ball bearings. My fave EDC flips out effortlessly compared to my Spyderco's.
I'll bet TSA just loves those.
My friend has a knife inside a key on his keyring. It has never been detected by TSA. It's been decades.

Currently performing a kitchen refresh with all new appliances and quartz counters, knew I had some major cardboard to deal with, so picked up this zip cutter which goes through cardboard like a hot knife through butter.
