Best Weather Forecast site? Your favorite?

I like the national weather service app "NWS Now" for my smartphone. I don't think there's an iphone version available though.

Windy is nice to get a "big picture" view of storms in the Pacific. As previously stated, it's local forecast accuracy depends greatly on which predictive model is selected.

Wunderground is quite reliable and accurate for my neck of the woods. DOE stream flow gages also have temp readings which are helpful.

I'll get flamed for sure, but Fox Weather works for me. Quick loading radar, and the current wx and forecast is accurate for my area. Plus no ad popups.

My Radar is a decent app to let you know what is heading your way.

I look outside and generally to the south since most of the weather comes from there.. I go outside , wet my finger and stick it in the air. If my hat blows off, it is windy. If I get wet, it is raining.
Jokes aside, I actually do often use my phone instead of walking outside to see what the weather is doing at that moment. But that's because I often want to know both what it's doing and how long it'll be doing it. If I've got a dog to walk, it's useful to know if it's raining, but also how hard, if it will increase or lessen in the next 30 minutes, which direction the wind is coming from, etc. Because if things are going to change for the better or worse in short order, that will change my dog walk timing.

Believe it or not, what I described above is actually what I do. That's a head scratcher for sure - maybe why I am bald. I have lived in WA for 70+ years. For 40+ years of my life there was no internet or phone - just a guy on the local news drawing pictures to make weather entertaining. A long time ago, I decided the weather is what it is. Can't fight Mother Nature. I just learned to adapt.

Another vote for Windy and NOAA. Windy has really improved over the last few years adding lots of new features and forecast models - especially on their paid site. Though not particularly smart phone friendly, I really like the College of Dupage Nexlab site as it has lots of models, model ensembles and forecasting tools: NEXLAB

Anyone know the main phone number for weather.com??? Been trying to reach them i need to CHEW THEM OUT!!!!! It didn't say in their internet-based forecast where I live that it waa a chance of rain!!!!!

I commute daily over 2 mountain passes and have always relied on weather.gov for mountain pass forecasts. It has always been very reliable. In the last week or two it seems to be all over the place. A complete crap shoot. We all now why and I'm not trying to get this thread locked so please refrain from stating political opinion in any replies. But does anyone have another good weather site for mountain pass forecasts that doesn't require a subscription or signing over my email address to get flooded with more spam?

I am a member of a weather forecasting/discussion group which consists of a lot meteorologists along with a few amateurs (like me). Someone in the group recently asked: what's a good weather app? Most of the pros answered there isn't one they would use other than the NWS webpage (weather.gov). However, one of the administrators recommended one app I had not heard of: "Everything Weather". The app pulls everything directly from the NWS servers, including area forecast discussions and radar. It's only available for IOS right now (https://apps.apple.com/us/app/everythingweather/id6736664582 , but an Android version is expected soon.

NWS NOW does all that for the Android plus provides NWS' text synopses of the weather.

There is no version of it available for Apple products however.

It also provides NOAA marine forecasts by clicking on the marine area through the radar map. You can then save that area as a "favorite" and have marine forecasts in addition to your other favorite forecast areas.

It's really a good app. Plus it's free and has no ads!

I really like that NWS NOW has the marine forecast feature... maybe they'll come up with a Apple version. The EverythingWeather App does have the NWS Forecast Discussions - which is a feature that I really like.
