Issaquah sounds great for Eastsiders and SoKing people.

I used to attend Doug's tying events at the Merc on Saturdays. The locals brought in lots of material and shared local knowledge. I even fliew in just to attend them. Maybe revitalize those in his memory?

I met Doug a few times and would hang out at the Merc occasionally. It was fun, we should plan a trip out there this spring and hit Rock Creek hard! Compare notes, as we both know it very well. I like up above the microburst, and mile marker 15 to 20! Down low is great too.. Really, there is a lot to explore there! I even had Rocky Mountain oysters.. a pair of them of course! You can't eat just one! Inconceivable!
 
Ok have two confirmed, not including me. Jack (I'll have a second vice or will share mine with you! Plus tools and materials to tie an Olive Willy)
1 from the OFFC meeting - Sid
2 more, a father and son - Adam and Nolan (10 yo i think) I'm pretty sure will make it.

Looks like there will be 4 of us! Anyone who wants to come is welcome too! Bring a vise, tools and materials! $20/person includes the first drink (beer, cider only) and pizza plus tip. After that, we're on our own. Great bar with some allocated whiskey and they make great cocktails! Cheers!

I met with @flybill today and loaned him a vise for tomorrow night in case someone needs a vise. A Dyna-King Squire, nothing fancy but a tabletop that works, especially as a traveling vise.

Enjoyed the time I spent with him, for sure. You will have a lot of fun and get to meet others too. WIn/Win...

I will be attending the Issaquah event.

Only 3 of us, and we had a great time! Lee and Sid fish more lakes and i'm a river guy! Swapped some flies and met a nice young lady whose dad is a fly fisher. I gave her a fly for her dad and we exchanged numbers. Her dad will join the site! Hope to see more people at the next event at Formula Brewing in Issaquah. Right next to Creekside Angling! Cheers!

Hopefully the next one, on April 8th at Creekside Angling and Formula Brewing will bring a large group out! Meet at Creekside at 5:30pm.. beer and pizza, followed by tying and BSing at 6pm! There's a thread in the Events section.. post if you're interested or planning on coming.. it's gonna be fun!
