Rain

Snow is so pretty and makes it so quiet outside. Lots of tracks in the snow, including bunnies, birds, raccoons, opossums, and even a bobcat.

But when it closes schools, my wife stays home and the honey-do list grows.

My kids may also stay home due to dangerous driving conditions.

Hauling the garbage can down a 700' driveway is not fun at all. I went out today to get it. It was not picked up! So, now I get to haul it back, full. Next week hauling it back will not be fun at all.

Snow please go away so my life can go back to normal.

That's not rain...
🤣

Ok...white rain..the kind that falls and doesn't go away.
8" on the ground this morning...3 days of it this week, 4 if you count the flurries this morning, which I do not.
😁

You go North for the winter, don't ya ?
😄

Well the rain river had hit us, and we're protecting the "dry side"...

In our field we have ancient "root ball" dips/holes. Several made my wife "duck pond" we get 3 migratory ducks visit every year.

And so much rain (with previous snow load) that even with a lot of gravel the driveway has big puddles!

And since taking the picture 3:33 (Now 4:19) we're at 1.01

Did I say I love my weather station? Rain=1.03 Wind Gust=13mph Humidity: 99%

The wetlands next to my house are ---> WET! Ducks and geese are now flying in and out of the area with ease.

The floating dock is floating at least 6" higher.

We are finally thawing out here in the Poconos, highs expected in the mid to high 40's - probably some rain tomorrow so all the ice and snow melt will make for a mucky mess - good for said ducks though.

cheers

I've not missed the cold and wet with some snow back in Ephrata but with all the temperatures never exceeding 32F I wasn't concerned about my walnut tree needing its annual pruning. Now I look at the forecast and dang, I need to get home and get busy. Saps gonna be rising.

Beautiful morning in Redondo Beach:
