Monthly Fly Tying - Brewery or Distillery (Location: Eastside/North TBD) interest

I want to organize a monthly tying event. Not one location and leaning towards breweries.

Initial locations:
Black Raven Brewing (Woodinville / Redmond) - Know the owners.. Beaux and Kat.. Nigel the Sales guy
Skip Rock Distilling (already talked to them)
Mac & Jacks - plenty of room and know everyone there.. including Wil and Jack
Stoup Brewing
PostDoc
Big Block
Formula in Issaquah
Seven Seas Brewing (Gig Harbor)

many others.. not looking to always meet at the same place..

Patterns will vary for each person.. we can do themes.. I prefer steelhead and sea run cutthroat trout.. trout of course.. and want to tie bonefish and tarpon flies..

So just say if you're interested. What day(s) work best for you? Suggest other locations.. even your house if you can host 4 to 6 people..

I don't want a giant group.. Bring your own vice, tools, materials.. I will share some materials, but will assume you will bring your own.

We can tie 4 to 6 and do an informal swap or keep them all for yourself! Your choice!

I'm thinking the 1st Tuesday of the month.. or something like that.. we can take turns leading and filming SBS videos..

Thoughts! Tell me your interest level and what evening would work best.. This would be an after work thing, 6pm to 8pm.. later depending on the venue!

My ties are not worthy of a demo. But they catch a lot of fish. Damsels work great BTW.

Being retired and an old geiser, early evenings after the traffic mess and stagnation.

During the day is possible for me at the moment.. let's meet up at Mac & Jacks.. I'll check with Will in the afternoon.. they open at 1pm.. you can just meet me there, if you want. I'll throw my vice, tools and some materials in a box and we can give it a go!

I'll tie up a bunch of Olive Willy's by William Servey.. he does the Drunk Dragon, but I would need to watch a video a few times for that one..

I mean, I haven't been in the area much if at all in almost 10yrs... but didn't Hi-Fi close a long time ago?

Actually, Gig Harbor Fly Shop would work too.. Or Seven Seas Brewery or Heritage Distilling.. I've got connections at all. And this doesn't have to be one large group, it can be more geographical. I don't mind going down to Gig Harbor Fly Shop every once in a while and they have some tying events on Thursday nights. $10 for materials and a beer! Sounds good to me!

So I'm proposing The Pizza Coop in Woodinville on a Monday or Tuesday.. 6pm to 8pm or a little later.. $20/person covers pizza and a first round of beer..

Eat, shoot the shit and then do some tying. Realistically we can stay til 9pm or later..

Talked with Brian Streit the owner and a friend.. so role call.. I think 6 including me is a good number but up to 8 is fine. No advance payment. Just plan on about $20 for the event.

Just say "I'm in!".. and what evening works best.. 2nd week of March tuesday the 11th.

Bring your own vice, tools and materials. A light if you have one handy and show up.

We can pick a theme.. lake patterns? Or people tie what they want.. we might even let Evan participate!! Vote yeah or nay! 😆

Yeah, we'll have to plan something down your way.. maybe Portland.. not for now though.. I am willing to head down that way though in the future as I have friends to visit down there and in wine country too!
