@Josh - I wanted to comment back on the superbowl but you closed it to comments so here's some pollution: Way to go Eagles!
No reason we can't chat about the SB in this thread. It's just that two NFL threads going at once makes no sense. So we end up closing the old one at this point every year.

SB59 recap for the new 2025 NFL thread:
KCM_DSC_1586.jpeg
Eagles 34 Chiefs 0 (late 3rd quarter)

Siriani Gatorade dunk early in 4th quarter

Offseason begins with player trades & the March 12 deadline to get under the salary cap.

The Browns need more QB...
Like more cowbell...

That whole presentation was about 5 hours of over hyped dud from start to finish. But I liked the outcome, especially the part where "3-peat" died a death of a thousand cuts. Now all of the talking heads that predicted a sure win for the Chiefs are doing damage control to their image. In a few days those same folks will be whining about how much money the Dodgers have spent, how they are a shoo in to win the World Series and how baseball has been ruined by big bucks. It's all just fan fodder.

Pete takes Jeanty for the Raiders makes sense...

I get it, but with backs having such a short shelf life and all the other issues they have, it just doesn't make sense to me to go that route.

Jets cancel Rodger's permission to appear on the Pat McAfee show! 🤨

Yeah, but theres going to be no QB worth that high a pick, and a guy like Jeanty will produce quickly...Pete's probably only there for 3-4 years max, so in that light... given the Raiders are train wreck...it gives them the best chance at immediate offensive success.
They still need a QB, but they will pick up a veteran guy somewhere I bet...even if it's a mediocrity like Flacco or Wilson, but I bet Pete wants Fields or Darnold out of who is out there, and reasonable to aquire.

It is a weak QB class, but they also had Josh Jacobs and let him walk. Good decision, GB was likely really disappointed in the 1,300+ yards and 15 touchdowns he produced. :ROFLMAO:
Jeanty of course would be younger and likely cheaper. Pete is going to be busier filling holes then the Seattle Pothole Rangers.

Yeah the Raiders are known for their poor decisions and such. With a mid tier veteran QB, an actual running game will help them out. I think Jeanty is pretty good, and likely the biggest impact player they get at that pick.
It's high for a RB for sure, but probably as sure a bet as there is to produce right away in this draft...and as a team they need to get something right for a change.
😅

Raiders are actively reviewing Sam Darnold's game tape.
