WTB Syd Glasso Sol Duc Spey Trio

I’d like to have copies of the trio of Syd Glasso’s Sol Duc Spey fly because 1) I’ve got a sentimental attachment to those flies and 2) I’m looking to take photos of them for a tattoo I’m planning.

I’d prefer to buy them from one of you fine tyers than from some company on the web.

I’d also post on Speypages but I’ve got about 3 total posts in the four months (?) I’ve been on there and I don’t have access to the classifieds or know who’s who over there.

Anyone willing to tie some on comission?
 
I could help you with this, and all the people listed are amazing. I would also recommend Joel Hill. Let me know the size you’re looking for and timeframe. I’m fishing this weekend and one last question do you plan on framing them or fishing. Feel free to PM me.
 
Did someone say Glasso spey flies. I enjoy fishing them in winter. The Sol Duc and the Black Heron are prob my favorites. Purists will say the hackle tip wings are too long but so be it...

Like how some people get tattoos of bobbers, I plan to hand them to a tattoo artist, design and get a tattoo, then…haven’t decided on fishing vs display. No flies adorn the walls of my house yet (though I have a bunch in the headliner of my car) but I also might be compelled to fish them on the duc. My grandfather fished traditional flies on the Sol Duc (one of his favorite rivers this side of the Cascades) and he’s the one that got me into fishing. Regardless it’d be a way to remember him.
 
I would like to try to tie them.. and then fish them! Cool thread!

Never mind just saw the bridge. That is not the run known as Syd's.
 
I did fish Syds with you both once(recall my almost dry crossing :ROFLMAO:) and once again with just Mark. So sad about Tom, he seemed like a real character!
Been in touch with Mark and hope to share some water with the both of ya's this year.
 
Did you find someone to tie these, I’m not a commercial tier but I can tie these for you. I’m not trying to take any business from a commercial tier but if you need some let me know.
