I do kinda like seeing Bobby Wagner and Dan Quinn succeed, too though. I'd have been ok with either outcome.

Belichick has a 10 million dollar contract buyout now, that then drops to 1 million in June...gotta think with that sort of contract structure he seriously hedged his bets on a future NFL job.
Pete Carrol will likely interview for the job also.
So there's the old guys situation.

He could have said McCarthy isn’t coming back nearly two weeks ago to get started on the coaching search, which some other teams are already well into the process. Vrabel is already gone. He did the same stupid type of shit with the contract extension for Lamb. It could have been done long before it was.

Just out of curiosity, I had to look. Jerry is only 82. I was thinking he doesn't look a day over 102. So he'll keep continuing what he's doing for probably at least another decade.
