Sage is no longer on my radar

Does this mean i can never get my Winslow (oh ok Sage) drift rod repaired. Yea I broke the tip off back in the early eighties. Never thought Sage would fix it. I’m sure they don’t have that same material it’s made from anymore. By the way the first graphite rods from Winslow (Sage) were garbage. But way back then most graphite rods coming from other rod companies didn’t hold up either. Guess that’s why i used my S glass rods for so long until I broke it .

I still have 2 of my original Loomis IM6 rods from the late 80's. They are holding up just fine too... Fish them every time I go out..

I have a 9' 6 wt IM6 from the mid 80's in the collection, a custom wrap from 'Wolfe' out of
what was Doug Mateo's SF fly shop...been pretty much bulletproof

I've got two 80s Sage gear rods, both 9', a 290 and a 390. They're really nice. Truthfully though, the 290 hasn't been fished much and the 390 is still an unwrapped blank. It's hard for me to believe I've had that 390 blank for over 35 years and not done anything with it. I'm just not in a hurry I guess, haste makes waste ya know!
