Favorite fly box for skaters?

Yo, I’ve used a bunch of different boxes, and have mostly fell in love with cheap tin boxes that I don’t give a shit about, but lately I’ve been thinking about a nicer Wheatley style box….what’s your go to?

I really like this one:

Holds a dozen or so skaters in the compartment side and some come back fly wets on the cork side. Price is a lot easier to swallow than the Wheatleys too. If you do get one, just remember that the drain holes go down when you open it...

My working lineup of skaters, wakers, muddlers, and hairwings goes in a Fishpond Pescador. Low profile and waterproof.

Edit: I should add that my surface flies are on the smaller side. No giant hair or foam monstrosities.

I generally fish smaller dries, also. My lead fly is almost always a size 8 Purple or Tan/orange Lil Wang. Or a size 6 Grease liner or Muddler. Lots of super tinies for comeback work.

I stopped using deerhair for skaters more than a decade ago, mine are all foam and rubber legs. Certainly makes it easier to pack them without worrying about kinking/breaking materials.
